The warming effect of Evicare® heat occurs quite promptly after application, building up within the first 15 minutes and lasting at least 1 hour. It is structurally similar to natural heating agents and is less irritating than capsaicin or capsicum extract. This ingredient is soluble in most solvents such as ethanol and is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a slightly pleasant vanilla odor.

Applications

Evicare® heat is insoluble in water, but soluble in many organic solvents or oils and can still be used in an aqueous gel formulations with ethanol, for example. It is used in cosmetic and personal care products as a fragrance ingredient, hair care active and warming agent.
