Evicide® Propanediol is a 100% bio-based, non-GMO humectant, solvent, and preservative booster. Produced via an innovative fermentation process, it offers a natural and sustainable alternative to petrochemical glycols like propylene glycol. It enhances skin hydration, ensuring a smooth and pleasant feel in leave-on formulations. Additionally, it boosts preservative efficacy by improving solubility and reducing water activity. Evicide® Propanediol is produced through a non-pathogenic fermentation process, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 90%. Instead of GMO-corn-based carbohydrates, it utilizes non-GMO glycerin as feedstock, making it a more sustainable choice for eco-conscious formulations.

Applications

Evicide® Propanediol is highly versatile and ideal for use in creams, lotions, serums, and other personal care formulations. It can replace conventional glycols while improving skin compatibility and formulation stability. Simply add it to the water phase under stirring or heat up to 80°C if required. 5.0 - 10.0% for preservative boosting 10.0 - 20.0% for moisturization
