In this synergistic blend the advantages of the individual components are combined to yield one highly-active antimicrobial mixture. Phenoxyethanol, a strong preservative on its own, improves the penetration of Benzoic Acid through the microbial membranes, leading to an enhanced effect. In this way, Evicide® PBA functions as a broad-spectrum preservative blend.

Applications

Works best in the optimal pH range of 4.0-6.0. Emulsions, Surfactant-based, and even aqueous concepts are compatible with Evicide® PBA.
