We have nothing against Phenoxyethanol. But some don't want it in their formulation. Evicide® rose 26 is a phenoxyethanol-alternative blend with a broad spectrum efficacy, pH-independency and a faint rosy odor.

If you are looking for an alternative for the phenoxyethanol blends Evicide® rose 26 might be the solution. It shows the same efficacy and can be used at the same concentration without the use of listed preservatives. Ethylhexylglycerin acts as a boosting agent and weakens the bacterial cell membrane. Thus it enhances permeability of additional antimicrobials, in this case Phenethyl Alcohol. Phenethyl Alcohol will interfere with the microbes cell membrane aswell as vital enzyme inside the cell, which will result in the cells death.

Applications

A pH-independent preservative blend that can be used in aqueous and surfactant-based formulations as well as emulsions. In water-based formulas solubilizers or glycols might be needed when higher concentrations are used.
