We have nothing against Phenoxyethanol. But some don't want it in their formulation. Evicide® rose 8 is a phenoxyethanol-alternative blend with a broad spectrum efficacy, pH-independency and a faint rosy odor.

If you are looking for an alternative for the phenoxyethanol blends Evicide® rose 8 might be the solution. It shows the same efficacy and can be used at the same concentration without the use of listed preservatives. Caprylyl Glycol as the famous boosting agent acts as a door opener into a microbes cell for other antimicrobials, in this case Phenethyl Alcohol. Phenethyl Alcohol will interfere with the microbes cell membrane aswell as vital enzyme inside the cell, which will result in the cells death.

Applications

A pH-independent preservative blend that can be used in surfactant-based formulations as well as emulsions. In water-based formulas solubilizers or glycols are needed.
